Job Description:
Full-time onsite (37 hours per week) - are you a skilled finance professional ready to take the next step in your career? Our client, a highly regarded Further Education College dedicated to "Empowerment Through Learning," is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead their finance team and ensure the college achieves its financial objectives while delivering an outstanding service to students, staff, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
*Team Leadership: Manage and develop the finance team, ensuring high standards of performance and collaboration and prepare management accounts, annual budgets, and financial forecasts to support decision-making.
*Compliance & Controls: Maintain adherence to financial regulations, statutory requirements, and audit standards and oversee budget monitoring, ensure effective treasury management, and maintain accurate cash flow forecasts.
*Process Improvement: Implement efficient financial procedures and controls to optimize value for money and streamline operations and provide training and guidance to budget holders and management teams to ensure financial literacy across the organization.
Experience & Knowledge Required:
*Accounting Expertise: Strong technical accounting skills with significant experience preparing management accounts, budgets, and year-end financial processes.
*Leadership Experience: Proven ability to manage, motivate, and develop teams in a finance setting.
*Sector Knowledge: Experience in a similar role, with familiarity in a Further Education environment being a bonus.
*Financial Systems: Proficiency in using IT systems to create efficient, accurate, and monitored financial processes.
*Regulatory Compliance: Solid knowledge of financial regulations, audit requirements, and funding body standards.
*Analytical Skills: Ability to use financial data to inform decision-making, improve processes, and achieve strategic goals.
*Procurement & Treasury: Experience managing procurement procedures and overseeing treasury operations.
About You:
*AAT qualified with at least three years of managerial experience in a similar role.
*Flexible, innovative, and able to adapt to changing business needs and an effective communicator with excellent problem-solving skills who is well-organised and able to prioritise a busy workload.
