This role sits within our Private Sector FM business division that provides catering, cleaning, hard services, pest control, and security services to a wide range of prestigious clients, within the Venues market.
About The Role:
As a SIA Training Manager, your role will be to ensure all contractual and industry relevant training is delivered across the NEC Group Venues for security colleagues. You will be working independently to deliver training outcomes and programmes as confirmed by the Training Compliance Manager and Heads of Services. Including identifying training needs and development for colleagues across the NEC Group contract adding value to the service offering as a subject matter expert and a lead for the contract.
Your main responsibilities will include:
*Management of the delivery of funded and non-funded learning programmes across NEC Group portfolio.
*Working with the training compliance manager and Heads of Services to support in the creation of training needs analysis on a yearly basis for the contract.
*Managing the quality, standards and audits of the training delivery.
*Creating, adapting and delivering a catalogue of learning for colleagues across NEC Group Venues to deliver contractual and aspirational learning.
*Aiding and advising on training delivery for soft service functions.
*Constantly striving for innovation and new ways to enhance our learning and development function.
*Delivery of 3 new training packages a year.
*Successful audits completed by SIA, Highfield & any other relevant body.
*Pass criteria for OCS Delivered Programmes to be at 85% or above
*Any other duties related training, development and continuous learning.
*Working with on site management leads and operations teams to deliver toolbox talks and bitesize learning to improve the service delivery across NEC Group
You should meet the following criteria:
*Experience of working within the security sector (either door supervisor or CCTV control room)
*3 years + experience in delivering SIA Security training
*Experience in training within a large organisation with a diverse workforce.
*A Teaching and Assessing qualification is mandatory ( AET/TAQA)
*Ability and confidence to lead
*Experience in training delivery through non funded routes.
*Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally.
*Right to work in the UK
* As the contract covers 5 venues at the NEC and in the city centre some travel may be required to support each venue and therefore the successful candidate must have their own transport.
All candidates need to be flexible with their working days/hours due to the nature of the events business some evening/weekend work may be required however the role is Full time Monday to Friday usually.
