Job Description:
My client, one of the leading FMCG businesses in the North West, are looking to hire an Internal Controls Manager to look after their UK controls framework. Whilst the head office is in Liverpool, the successful candidate will be mainly home based, with occasional travel to the Liverpool office and other UK sites.
This role offers the opportunity to work with a company that operates across 30 countries and is committed to bringing the grower and consumer closer together through their optimised supply chain. The successful candidate will have full ownership of the end-to-end ICFR process and will be the subject matter expert for the UK, liaising with all areas of the Senior Leadership Team.
What you’ll do:
*Act as key point of contact for external and internal auditors.
*Provide training for all control owners.
*Collaborate with the Group Internal Controls team on onboarding new Business Units and ERP systems.
*Work with the UK Finance team to produce concise and accurate reporting for UK board reporting and senior leadership team.
*Manage all UK ICFR testing including liaising with various UK business units ensuring data is collected and testing in accordance with timetables.
*Manage UK Risk & Controls Matrix ensuring all documentation is correct and up to date reflecting the operations of the UK business.
What you bring:
*Proven experience in Internal Audit / ICFR or Risk & Advisory.
*Experience working across multiple entities / divisions is desired.
*Strong communication skills, analytical skills and organisational skills.
*Ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels within the business.
*Team player mentality with the skills to manage, develop and implement new working practices and systems.
*Qualified Accountant
