Job Description:
We are proud to be partnering with a G15 Housing Association, who are looking to appoint a Housing Litigation Solicitor/Lawyer on a permanent basis.
This will be a full-time position based in either Central London with hybrid working as an option and a salary of circa £64,500 per annum.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor, barrister or CILEX Lawyer and have experience working in a social housing or local authority setting as well as strong understanding of ASB work.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
*Conducting efficient and effective litigation such as: Anti-social behaviour injunctions and possession claims; tenancy fraud possession, access injunctions and housing disrepair claims
*Briefing Counsel and/or conducting advocacy where appropriate in order to protect the interests of the organisation and their partners
*Ensuring that legal work is carried out in house including: Preparing and drafting all own pleadings and to ensure communication between instructing officers and the legal team is effective and efficient
*Developing efficient processes for housing management and litigation services, including witness support for anti-social behaviour cases, with out-of-hours visits when necessary
*Ensuring compliance with procedures, maintain accurate records, and manage data effectively for case handling and timely departmental communication
*Keeping up to date with current legal, regulatory, and constitutional frameworks for Housing Associations and sharing knowledge to promote a compliance-driven culture
*Liaising with clients, suppliers, and staff at all levels, fostering strong relationships with external partners and keeping colleagues informed of legal updates
Experience required:
*Experience working in social housing or a local authority
*Two years+ PQE
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
*Disrepair
*ASB
*Possession claims

*35 hours per week
*Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm
