This is an exciting new opportunity for a Business Development Manager to work for a rapidly growing law firm who are recognised as industry leaders in their field, this role is based in their London office.
The role as Business Development Manager:
This role as Business Development Manager is pivotal to generating new business opportunities. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to develop client initiatives while overseeing delivery of the firm’s BD plans. It is a varied role that will require the successful candidate to work strategically and tactically. It will suit someone who excels in collaborating with others, can influence senior stakeholders, who has strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and who is able to manage their own workload with accuracy and a highly efficient level of time management.
The role will operate a hybrid model offering a mix of office-based and remote working.
Main Duties and responsibilities as Business Development Manager:
*Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of three direct reports, ensuring the successful delivery of department and firmwide BD plans.
*Continually seeking out new approaches and opportunities to support growth of the firm.
*Identify and facilitate cross-selling and client sharing opportunities across the group.
*Undertaking extensive client and market research, sharing insights and key information to support client targeting initiatives.
*Provide guidance to fee earners on business development activities and best practice.
*Supporting on developing department specific bids and pitches, directory submissions, award submissions, credentials, and collateral.
*Tracking and reporting on new business opportunities and targets generated through marketing and business development activities.
*Managing the BD budget and tracking expenditure.
*Supporting on client development initiatives including key client programme.
*Consistently keeping an eye on groupwide opportunities and how they could be leveraged; and
*Assistance to the wider BD team as and when necessary.
Person Specification
*5+ years Business Development experience, ideally within professional/legal services environment.
*Strong management and leadership skills, with experience in mentoring and developing teams.
*Experience of Real Estate and/or Housing Sectors desirable.
*Attention to detail to produce work which is consistently of a high standard.
*Excellent analytical skills, particularly in tracking and reporting on BD activity.
*Ability to influence senior stakeholders; and
*Strong planning and organisational skills.
