Job Description:
As a Team Manager, you will lead a team of dedicated professional Support Workers, focused on delivering a person-centred, bespoke care service that genuinely enhances the lives of the young individuals we support. You’ll lead by example, fostering the highest standards in all aspects of care.
We are a rapidly growing business so this is an exciting time to join. At PCG, you can make a real difference and play a key role in the development of our services.
You’ll join a dynamic team based in the North East of England. Flexibility is key, as you’ll need to travel and stay away from home during your rotation.
As a team manager your will:
*Lead the way in driving a positive culture: create an inspiring team environment with open communication and support.
*Manage staffing rotas: ensuring ’in ratio cover’ is in place at all times, liaising with higher management to proactively plan for gaps in the rota such as annual leave.
*Welcome new members of the team: carry out thorough inductions and training for new Support Workers joining your team.
*Support and develop your team: conduct regular and meaningful 1-2-1s and supervisions with your team to provide guidance, celebrate success and ensure professional development.
*Lead by example: oversee and lead day-to-day operations of the placement, ensuring compliance whilst also providing the highest level of care and support to your Young Person.
*Shape the future of PCG: take an active part in Support Worker interviews via MS Teams and Support Worker assessment days.

*Qualifications: Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent); willingness to work towards Level 5 in Leadership and Management.
*Full right to work in the UK and a full UK manual driving license are essential.
*Flexibility: shifts typically follow a 4 on, 4 off pattern, including both 12 hour day and 12 hour waking night shifts, often your day shifts will be followed by a sleep in. There are a number of our services which may operate outside of this so flexibility is key.
Benefits
Beyond making a difference, here’s what’s in it for you:
*Security: PAYE role, so no need to worry about consistency of shifts and pay
*Remuneration: competitive basic salary of £37,000 plus uplifts for each shift you work with a young person and for sleeping nights.
*Personal Growth: we’ll invest in you, covering the cost of your Level 5 qualification and providing ongoing career development.

*Additional Perks: Active and generous refer a friend scheme - earn up to £1000 through referring someone to PCG, paid annual leave, company sick pay and a company pension.
