A fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Accountant with an international group of companies in Aerospace/ Manufacturing. As the business continues to grow, we are looking for a competent and ambitious accountant who is looking for an exiting next step in their career.
Responsibilities include:
*Support the Finance Manager in managing the weekly, month-end, and year-end financial close processes.
*Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring proper documentation and identifying areas of risk and opportunity.
*Ensure compliance with GAAP or IFRS.
*Work on ad-hoc projects as required by the FLT.

*Provide support during internal and external audits.

*Overseeing the Processing of supplier invoices on a timely and accurate basis, and responding to supplier queries.
*Assisting in the preparation of the management accounts, including maintaining and preparing balance sheet reconciliations as well as WIP and debtor schedules.

What we’d like you to bring:
*A degree in finance, accounting, or business, or working towards one.
*Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
*Proven experience in reconciling accounts and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.
*Ability to work collaboratively within a finance team and with other departments.
*Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
*Excellent Excel skills for data analysis, modelling, and reporting.
