Job Description:
Education Support Worker *Contract Type: Long Term, Term Time Only
*Location: Leeds
*Hours: 32.5 per week, term time only + 5 training days
*Start Date: ASAP
We are excited to offer full-time permanent positions for Education Support Workers within our new Post 16 Outreach provision. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting young people with complex communication needs and SEMH.
This school is a vibrant, all-age special school located in Leeds, catering to around 220 pupils with a wide range of learning needs, including moderate to severe learning difficulties, complex needs, and autism. The school also supports students with additional physical, medical, speech and language, and sensory impairments.

Day-to-Day of the Role: *Work within Post 16 provision settings including care, home, and community environments.
*Hours are typically between 8:45 AM and 4:15 PM, adjusted according to the needs of the young people.
*Support the educational and personal development of students under the guidance of the teacher responsible for Post 16 Outreach Provision.
*Engage with students across our main site and partnership sites, contributing to a supportive learning environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Experience working with autistic individuals and those with complex communication needs and SEMH.
*Background in education, adult services, or social care is advantageous.
*Ability to relate well to children, young people, and adults.
*Excellent team player with resilience and the ability to use initiative.
*Strong problem-solving and excellent communication skills.
*Positive attitude and dedication to improving outcomes for complex young people.
*Willingness to learn, reflect, and share effective practice.
