About the School - SEN Teaching Assistant - Thrapston, Kettering, Northamptonshire
This AP school supports students at KS3 and KS4. Their facilities include a kitchen, classrooms, a recreation and reflection area for students, a music room, and a one-to-one room where students can discuss any issues, they are facing with teaching staff. This school offers students the opportunity to learn in smaller groups and in a more supportive and holistic atmosphere.
In academic year 2023/2024, year 11 students at this AP school studied and were entered for GCSE Maths, English and Science. 87% of the students entered gained a GCSE in Maths and English. The curriculum also offers a variety of unaccredited programmes that students engage with throughout the year including enrichment projects
About you - SEN Teaching Assistant - Thapston, Kettering, Northamptonshire
*Experience with working in a primary/secondary/SEN school in the UK OR hold relevant qualifications within education
*SEN experience isn’t essential but strongly desirable
*Good behaviour management
*Ability to support and encourage students with SEMH
