AMS is the world’s leading provider of Talent Acquisition and Management Services. Our contingent Workforce Solutions (CWS) service acts as an extension of our clients’ recruitment team and provides professional interim and temporary resources. We partner with Arup to support contingent recruitment processes. On behalf of Arup, we are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk for an initial 6-month contract based in Newcastle Upon Tyne.
About the Opportunity:
Working within a team of 14, reporting to the Manager/Supervisor(s) on day to day work related issues. To work closely with other staff within the team and other parts of Finance.
In this role you will be:
*Processing and input of supplier invoices.
*Processing and auditing of employee expenses.
*Ensuring VAT & Tax rules and regulations are rigidly adhered too.
*Dealing with queries both internal & external - written & verbal.
*Handling incoming calls for the Accounts Payable team.
*Reconciling supplier statements.
*Adding journal entry
*Setting up of suppliers within our finance system.
*Maintaining of both supplier & employee data within our finance system.
*Ad hoc administrative duties.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
*Experience of working within a team environment.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Outstanding organisational skills.
*Used to working to monthly/annual deadlines.
*Commitment to continuous improvement.
*Experience of working in Purchase ledger.
*Transactional processing experience (data entry).
*Ability to prioritise workload, ensuring targets are met.
*Committed to service delivery and a right first-time approach
