The Company
Nigel Wright Group are working with a market-leading Manufacturer to recruit a Commodity Manager into their Purchasing Team.

They will support hybrid working - minimum 4 days per week on site with the option of 1 day per week home-working.

The Opportunity
Working within a small team, the Commodity Manager (Direct Materials) will have strategic procurement responsibility for a range of Direct commodities, remit to include:
*Developing commodity strategy - focusing upon Quality, Cost, Delivery
*Commodity spend and supply analysis
*New supplier sourcing, contract negotiations
*Supplier performance management and review meetings
*Deputising for Procurement Manager


About You
The successful Commodity Manager will have/be:
*Directs’ commodity management/procurement experience from within Manufacturing/Engineering background
*Commodity management experience/contract management experience 
*Strong negotiation skills, confident to manage stakeholders both internally and externally
*Experienced in cost analysis, commercially astute
*Dynamic problem solver
*Ambitious, resilient, assertive and autonomous, able to hit ground running
