English Teacher for Alternative Provision School
Location: St Albans, Hertfordshire
Salary: Competitive, aligned with the teacher’s main pay scale in the fringe area, based on experience
Contract Type: Long-term with potential for a permanent role

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher looking to make a real impact? Join our supportive Alternative Provision School in St Albans, Hertfordshire, where we provide tailored learning for focused groups of no more than six students per class.
Our school specialises in offering personalised education plans, with English taught up to GCSE level alongside vocational qualifications. We’re passionate about nurturing the potential of every student in an inclusive and inspiring environment.
Key Responsibilities:
*Deliver engaging English lessons up to GCSE level (excellent lesson plans and resources available)
*Develop and implement individual education plans for students.
*Provide constructive feedback to students and their parents/guardians.
*Track and monitor student progress, adapting teaching methods to meet their needs.
*Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a collaborative learning atmosphere.
Qualifications and Skills:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred, though relevant teaching experience will be considered.
*Experience teaching English at any level.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*A passion for supporting students with diverse educational needs.
