Are you an experienced Machine Operator looking for a new challenge!
One of our local manufacturing companies based in the Medway Towns is looking for an experienced machine operator to join them.
This will start as a temporary position but will be working full time with the opportunity to go permanent.
Job Duties:
*Setting up of machinery
*Start machinery and make adjustments to machinery when necessary to improve performance
*Operate machinery and equipment.
*Perform quality control, follow reporting and record keeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor
*Comply with all safety and health regulations
*Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in work area
Skills / Experience
*Previous machine experience is essential, as candidates must be able to set up machinery and have technical understanding.
*Attention to detail
*Good Numeracy and Literacy Skills
*Strong communication skills
*Ability to follow written and oral instructions
*Ability to work in a team
*Ability to lift heavy equipment, to bend, and to stand or walk for long periods of time
*Willingness to work in shifts (late or early hours, weekends, and overtime if necessary)
The shift pattern includes days and nights, working 12 hours per shift on a 4 on 4 off basis. There is an immediate start available if successful.
Please note to start with you will work a day shift paying £11.50 per hour, this will be for company training. Once you transfer over to the Continental shift pattern the pay rate will increase to £14.43 per hour.
