Job Advertisement: HR OfficerLocation: CroydonContract: Temporary
Hours: 8am-4:15pm
Salary: £17-£23 per hour dependent on experience
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised HR Officer to join our school in Croydon. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources within an educational setting, possess excellent knowledge of Management Information Systems (MIS), and hold an enhanced DBS check.Key Responsibilities:
*Managing the recruitment process, including advertising vacancies, shortlisting candidates, and coordinating interviews.
*Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in MIS.
*Ensure compliance with all relevant employment legislation and school policies.
*Handle employee relations issues, providing advice and support to staff and management.
*Coordinate staff training and development programs.
*Assist with the preparation and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
*Process payroll and manage employee benefits.
*Support the Headteacher and School Business Manager with HR planning and decision-making.
*Ensure the efficient operation of the school’s HR systems and processes.
Requirements:
*Proven experience as an HR Officer or in a similar HR role, preferably within an educational setting.
*Strong knowledge of Management Information Systems (MIS).
*Enhanced DBS check is mandatory.
*Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
*The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
