About the Business:
Our client are a growing, UK & International, market-leading manufacturer requiring a Store Person/ General Operative. They are an established fabrication / sheet metal company that manufactures a broad range of products and offers a complete service, from design through to completion. They specialise in all aspects of welding and fabrications from one-off prototypes to batch production. The materials they work with are mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, titanium, copper and brass. The workforce is highly skilled and they work to the highest standards.
About The Offer:
*Free on-site parking
*25 days holiday plus bank/public holidays. After 12 months holiday allowance will increase to 30 days plus bank/public holidays.
*Bonus scheme available
*Overtime available
*Salary: £13 - £14 per hour

Responsibilities:
*Receive, check and sign for all deliveries made to site
*Take deliveries and manage the loading dock and store rooms
*Unload & load lorries/vans
*Check deliveries against delivery notes and for quality, quantities & damage or missing items
*Checking stock levels regularly
*Completing the required paperwork when booking in & Keeping paperwork up to date
*Updating stock information on the computer system
*Comparing items received against items ordered
*Implementing or improving processes and procedures
*Compiling daily reports and addressing inventory discrepancies
*Performing random checks and audits
*Work in a safe manner and comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policies
*Able to work well as part of a team
*Ability to work accurately and methodically
*Flexible approach to duties and tasks
*Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure / cost of poor quality
*Facilitating the flow of materials between various parties and departments
*Streamlining interdepartmental communication
*Working with site managers to collect relevant information about job status
*General packing requirements ensuring preservation of products
*Metal finishing
*Operating machinery
*General maintenance
Skills & Experience:
*Organisation skills
*Time management skills
*Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel and Word
*Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
*Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills
*Ability to comply with company procedures and policies
*Interpersonal skills
*FLT licence is essential for the role
