Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £47,000.40 (including 20% shift premium)
Shifts: Rotating 3-shift pattern
Location:Caerphilly
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to work in a fast-paced heavy industrial environment with excellent benefits? We’re hiring for an exciting opportunity in a leading manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities *Conduct planned preventative maintenance and schedule activities.
*Provide mechanical and electrical breakdown support across the site.
*Carry out building and site maintenance.
*Support new equipment installations, ensuring robust design and maintenance standards.
*Perform installation of production equipment, including electrical and pneumatic services.
*Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
*Supervise and support contractors working on-site.
Skills & Experience *Electrical fault-finding experience.
*Experience with automation, robotics, and chemical process lines.
*Strong knowledge of CNC machining, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems (gearboxes, pumps, fans).
*Electrical qualifications (18th Edition BS7671).
*Mechanical maintenance experience and NVQ Level 3.
*Strong problem-solving, planning, and interpersonal skills.
*Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
