Overview
A rapidly growing business in Blackburn is seeking a qualified accountant to join as Financial Controller. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven finance professional with experience in the Real Estate, Construction, Property Investment, Housebuilding, or related industries. You will lead a talented finance team, support the CFO, and play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of the business.

The Role
As Financial Controller, you will: *Lead the preparation of accurate financial statements in line with regulations and standards.
*Oversee the accounts payable function, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in supplier payments.
*Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and strategic opportunities.
*Develop and maintain robust financial management systems for enhanced reporting.
*Partner with key stakeholders across the business, providing actionable financial insights.
*Prepare budgets and forecasts, monitoring performance against targets.
*Ensure data integrity through regular audits and reconciliations.
*Manage relationships with external auditors, ensuring seamless audit processes.

Experience and Qualifications
We’re looking for a candidate with: *Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar senior finance role.
*A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
*A track record in the Real Estate, Construction, Property Investment, or Housebuilding sectors.
*Strong proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks).
*Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
*The ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
*Experience in team management and fostering a collaborative environment.
