Due to expansion our client is currently looking to recruit a Junior Product Manager to join an inclusive and innovative team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact on New Product Development across a broad product range. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, where you will gain valuable experience in product marketing and develop your B2B/B2C business acumen. Excellent flexible and hybrid working set-up in a great working environment with a friendly team. This role will require at least 2 days per week in the office just outside of Newcastle City Centre.
Role
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage product portfolios in the UK and EU for a growth orientated product division.
• Assist senior product managers with product launches, aftersales support, and market analysis.
• Collaborate with teams in the UK, North America, and China.
• Identify opportunities and shape product roadmaps.
• Develop justifications for new product investments and improvements.
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and packaging reviews.
• Support the development of marketing strategies and campaigns.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on customer feedback and market trends.
• Act as the voice of the customer when performing product sample audits and advising on product improvements.
• Help create and maintain product documentation and training materials.
• Participate in cross-functional team meetings to ensure alignment on product goals and objectives.
• Support sales and marketing teams with consumer insights.
• Participate in market launch activities and create content to highlight product features.
Experience and Skills
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a related field.
• Understanding of product management principles and waterfall projects is advantageous.
• Ability to identify product features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
• Understanding of researching products and technical specifications in a market.
• Knowledge of differing product, sales, and marketing requirements in various retail channels.
• Experience in presenting and report writing with summaries and recommendations.
• Ability to create insights from customer research to influence the product roadmap.
• Good understanding of marketing principles and their impact on product development.
• Passion for delivering the best customer product experience.
• Opportunities to travel to China, North America, and within Europe.
