About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and organised School Attendance Officer to join our team in Redhill, Surrey. The successful candidate will play a key role in monitoring and improving student attendance, working closely with parents, teachers, and senior leadership to support our school’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
*Monitor and track student attendance data, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
*Follow up with families regarding unexplained absences and provide support to encourage regular attendance.
*Work with school staff to identify patterns of absence and implement strategies to address concerns.
*Ensure compliance with school policies and local authority regulations on attendance.
*Support the development and implementation of initiatives to improve attendance across the school.
*Maintain up-to-date records and produce reports for senior leadership.
The Ideal Candidate:
*Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail.
*Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
*A proactive approach to problem-solving and improving attendance.
*Experience working in a school or education setting (desirable but not essential).
*Knowledge of relevant policies and legislation related to school attendance.
*Sims and or Bromcom experience
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
