Our client, a highly prestigious boutique bank dealing with Ultra-High-Net-Worth clients, has an exciting new opening within their Payments Team for a new Team Manager. This role will be managing a team of 8. As the Team Leader, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement, managing key relationships, and guiding the team in navigating a dynamic regulatory landscape. For this role, you will have experience in: payment processing (10,000+ per day), knowledge of BACS, CHAPS, SWIFT, SEPA, Faster Payments and more, and excellent risk and regulatory knowledge. Requirements for the successful Payments Team Manager:
*Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team, setting clear objectives and providing regular feedback.
*Operational Excellence: Manage daily operations, ensuring adherence to service level agreements and key performance indicators.
*Customer Focus: Deliver exceptional customer service, proactively identify and address customer needs, and monitor customer feedback.
*Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including PSD2 and TFU regulations.
*Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and improve the customer experience.
*Risk Management: Implement and monitor controls to mitigate operational and compliance risks.
*Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators and industry bodies (e.g., UK Finance).
*Technology & Innovation: Embrace technological advancements and explore opportunities to leverage technology to improve operations and enhance the customer experience.
Requirements for the successful Payments Team Manager to include:
*Proven experience leading and managing a payments team within a financial institution (ideally from a challenger bank, private bank or building society etc.
*In-depth knowledge of payment schemes (Faster Payments, CHAPS, Bacs, SEPA, SWIFT).
*Strong understanding of PSD2 and TFU regulations.
*Experience with supplier management and cost control.
*Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
