Project Financial Analyst *Annual Equivalent Salary: £50k - £60k
*Location: Guildford (accessible via public transport) - hybrid 2-3 days working from home.
*Job Type: 3 month contract (possible extension)
We are seeking a Project Financial Analyst to join my clients Finance team. This role is crucial for providing technical project data and enhancing financial data to support fact-based decision making. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining robust financial analyses and reports, ensuring accuracy and professionalism in all financial transactions.
Day-to-day of the role: *Analyse, report, and present detailed financial information for the section, ensuring all data is accurate and robust.
*Lead the development and production of project reporting, liaising with key stakeholders and addressing any variances or trends.
*Develop, maintain, and govern the project plan framework for assigned areas.
*Test data validity, continually challenging and verifying the records.
*Respond to internal and external queries regarding the data presented, providing additional support as needed.
*Manage workload independently, working alongside both Finance and non-Finance colleagues to meet deadlines and reporting requirements.
*Plan and organise work to meet deadlines, including ad hoc analysis requests from senior finance team members.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Professionally qualified with a relevant degree/postgraduate qualification or substantial vocational and relevant management experience.
*Thorough knowledge of working practices, processes, and procedures relevant to the role.
*Proven ability to manipulate data and provide evidence-based answers to complex questions.
*Experience in managing complex projects and influencing organisational decisions.
*Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
*Ability to work independently and prioritise effectively under pressure.
