Behaviour Mentor - High Wycombe- Behaviour Mentor- High Wycombe
Are you passionate about supporting young people with challenging behaviours and mental health needs? We are seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join an alternative provision in High Wycombe, working with secondary-aged pupils who require specialist intervention to engage with education.
As a Behaviour Mentor in High Wycombe, you will be working closely with students who have experienced barriers to learning, including emotional-based school avoidance (EBSA), anxiety, and behavioural difficulties. The ideal candidate will be resilient, patient, and able to build positive relationships with young people to help them re-engage with education.
Key Responsibilities: *Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with challenging behaviours.
*Implement strategies to improve students’ emotional regulation and social skills.
*Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies to ensure tailored support.
*Act as a positive role model, building trust and confidence in students.
Requirements: *Previous experience as a Behaviour Mentor, youth worker, teaching assistant, or in a similar role.
*Experience working with teenagers in schools, youth centres, or personal experience supporting children with challenging behaviours.
*Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to de-escalate situations effectively.
*A commitment to making a difference in the lives of vulnerable young people.
Benefits: *Competitive weekly pay ranging from £425-£500 per week, dependent on experience and pay
