We are seeking a Band 6 Locum Occupational Therapist to join a dedicated team in an acute hospital setting in Newport. This role focuses on supporting patients in a winter pressure ward, where you will play a crucial role in patient recovery, discharge planning, and maintaining patient flow during the busy winter period.
Key Responsibilities: *Provide specialist occupational therapy assessment and intervention for patients in the acute setting.
*Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support timely discharges and prevent hospital readmission.
*Implement rehabilitation strategies to enhance patient independence and functional outcomes.
*Contribute to service development and assist in managing the increased demand during winter pressures.
Requirements: ?? HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
?? Previous experience working in an acute hospital setting (desirable)
?? Strong discharge planning and rehab skills
?? Ability to work independently and within a team
?? Flexible and adaptable approach
