Tradewind are looking for dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to join the Additional Resourced Provision (ARP) of a welcoming Primary School in North West London. This role is perfect for someone with a background in SEND support who thrives in an inclusive, nurturing environment.
The Role:
*Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with neurodiverse needs and autism.
*Working closely with the SENDCo and specialist teachers to implement EHCP targets.
*Supporting children in developing their social and communication skills.
*Creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
*Using de-escalation strategies and positive behaviour support techniques.
What We’re Looking For:
*Experience working with children with SEND, particularly autism and social-emotional needs.
*Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, TEACCH, or other SEND strategies (desirable but not essential).
*A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children’s learning.
*Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals.
*A commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment for pupils.
