About The Role:
As a Purchasing Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth purchasing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
*Raising purchase orders (POs) and progressing outstanding orders
*Checking lead times and stock availability
*Communicating order status and stock availability to sales teams
*Arranging internal warehouse transfers of goods
*Managing supplier sales issues and complaints
*Confirming client delivery addresses and details
*Liaising with UK & international suppliers
*Coordinating with other departments when necessary
*Stock control & inventory management
*Accurately inputting new stock onto databases
*Maintaining supplier relationships
*Supporting sales administration teams where required
*Ensuring price lists are up to date and accurate
*Attending occasional trade shows
*Assisting with purchasing forecasts
*Working to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment
Experience / Skills Required:
*Ability to prioritise workload
*Experience in administration and a good understanding of operations within a purchasing department
*Strong organisational and time-management skills
*Ability to work independently and work to your own initiative
*ERP & stock management system experience (Streamline or similar preferred)
*Right to work within the UK is essential
