Job Description:
Electrical Engineer - Maintenance
Gloucester
8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday
Salary: Circa £19.00 per hour
Join a dynamic maintenance team responsible for ensuring the facility is maintained to the highest standard. This role requires a customer-focused approach, technical expertise, and a commitment to high-quality maintenance services.
Key Responsibilities of Electrical Engineer - Maintenance:
*Provide a highly responsive maintenance service to the facility.
*Undertake a wide range of reactive and planned maintenance tasks, ensuring all work meets high standards.
*Provide technical guidance, assistance, and information to other team members.
*Carry out maintenance, repairs, testing, and inspection of building, mechanical, and electrical services, associated systems, plant, and equipment in line with relevant standards.
Key Areas of Maintenance & Repair:
You will be expected to maintain, service, and repair a wide range of building services, including:
*Heating and domestic water services
*General electrical services (lighting, power)
*Air handling units
*Low voltage electrical distribution systems and switchgear
*Emergency standby generating plant
*Fire alarm systems and emergency lighting
*Electrical control systems
*Building Management System (BMS)
*Plant rooms, including steam pipes
Qualifications & Experience:
*Qualified time-served engineer with a minimum of 3 years post-apprenticeship experience.
*Healthcare experience desirable but not essential.
*Cross-trade experience advantageous
Additional Duties:
*Maintain records and complete service reports as required, providing updates to your line manager.
*Occasionally undertake installation work for minor upgrades or adaptations.
*Assist other skilled trades in maintenance, repairs, and installations.
*Undertake training and development to maintain skills in line with service requirements.
*Liaise with teams and undertake duties at other healthcare projects as directed.
