Job Description:
An established asset management firm is seeking an experienced Head of Compliance with international exposure to join their team. The Head of Compliance will collaborate with both the compliance and legal departments and will report to the Global Head of Commodities Compliance.
Responsibilities:
*Ensure a thorough understanding of all compliance requirements associated to the firm’s commodities operations.
*Oversee the creation, execution, and supervision of compliance policies, procedures, and controls to ensure your team and the European commodity trading activities adhere to all compliance and regulatory requirements.
*Support the implementation of compliance policies for the firm’s operations, whilst providing and managing support to team members and collaborative teams on compliance enquiries.
*Thoroughly review surveillance output and work on enhancing existing surveillance systems and protocols to ensure they are robust and effective in identifying and mitigating compliance risks.
*Pro-actively update compliance policies and liaise with the appropriate stakeholders.
*Monitor all compliance practices and integrate them into the firm’s compliance structure to ensure continuous enhancement.
*Collaborate with the global Compliance leaders and raise any compliance issues when necessary.
Qualifications and Requirements:
*Relevant bachelor’s degree, or relevant and related exposure as a senior Compliance lead.
*Over 6 year’s experience in compliance, with a focus on commodities, preferably gas and power. Knowledge of commodity training including products and platforms is required.
*In depth experience of REMIT, MiFID II, EMIR, MAR, and similar UK/EU regulations.
