We are seeking a Terminal Manager to oversee our client’s internal operations and personnel as well as external commercial activities in Liverpool.
Day-to-day of the role: Operational Management:
*Oversee daily terminal operations to ensure all activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations
*Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment
*Optimise operational processes to enhance efficiency and productivity
Personnel Management:
*Lead and motivate the terminal team, including hiring, training, and developing staff
*Foster a culture of cooperation and teamwork
*Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback
Commercial Activities:
*Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers
*Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base
*Negotiate contracts and pricing arrangements to maximise profitability
Safety and Compliance:
*Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental laws and regulations
*Conduct regular safety inspections and audits
*Manage emergency plans and respond to incidents
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within the tank storage or logistics industry
*Strong leadership and management skills
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Commercial acumen with a proven track record of developing business relationships
*Thorough knowledge of safety and environmental regulations
