Job Description:
Team Leader
Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals recovering from long-term mental health challenges, some of who may have learning disabilities?
My client is looking for a dedicated Team Leader to provide both individual and group support, empowering individuals to lead independent and fulfilling lives within the community. If you’re truly passionate about making a difference, then this role is for you!
You will be working 9am to 10pm with a 1.5 hour break. 3 days throughout the week including weekends
Salary: £22,353.24
(National living wage increase on the 1st of April 2025 will be reflected onto the salary)
Main duties:
You will carry out the basic role of a Recovery Support Worker along side your duties as a Team Leader:
* Supervising and guiding junior support staff to ensure high standards of care
* Providing hands-on support to tenants in line with their individual care plans and ensuring proper documentation
* Be fully flexible and able to work long days, waking nights, weekends and bank holidays
* Identifying and prioritising tenants needs daily (e.g. medical, paramedical etc)
* To attend reviews concerning tenants and help to provide current and accurate information prior to the review
* To liaise with other disciplines (social workers, medical staff etc)
* To undertake on-call cover as directed by the Registered Manager and daily administration duties including audits
* Deliver a quality service with company’s policies, procedures and statutory legislation e.g. Health and Safety at Work Act etc
* Attend staff meetings and participate in group/individual supervision and training
Essential Requirements & Qualifications:
* Must have Diploma Level 3 or Diploma Level in Health and Social Care or working towards a 3 with Senior Support experience (If not then 3 years being within Health and Social Care)
* Must have current Safe Handling of Medication Level 2
* Must be able to work a shift pattern including days, weekends and in emergencies nights as well
* Must have access to transportation for on call duties
* Experience with predominantly mental health and ideally disabilities
Full clean driving licence is desirable but not necessary if local
