We are seeking a dedicated Health and Social Care and Sociology to join our client’s vibrant college team. This role involves contributing to the successful learning experiences of students through high-quality teaching and effective course management, in line with the college’s standards and objectives.
Day-to-day of the role: *Deliver high-quality teaching in Health & Social Care and Sociology, ensuring all lessons are well-prepared and reflect students’ capabilities.
*Inspire and motivate learners through high expectations and positive reinforcement.
*Utilize IT platforms effectively for teaching and uploading course materials.
*Prepare students thoroughly for public examinations, including providing revision opportunities and familiarizing them with exam formats.
*Monitor student progress using relevant data, set targets, and implement intervention strategies as needed.
*Manage learning environments to ensure they are conducive to student success, maintaining discipline and promoting positive behaviours.
*Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to enhance their learning.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Degree in a relevant subject area.
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, or willingness to work towards a recognised teaching qualification.
*Strong understanding of teaching, learning, and behaviour management strategies.
*Excellent IT skills and proficiency in using educational technology.
*Commitment to the Catholic ethos of the sixth form.
*Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
*A commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
