What is the role about?
Reporting Directly to the Managing Director of the Oxford Energy Academy (OEA), the Training Sales Manager is responsible for the sourcing and generation of leads, conducting sales calls and discussing training solutions for prospective customers, both business to business and potential individual learners. It’s an essential role in the continued growth of OEA at both our training centres in Oxford and Cambridgeshire.
Please note although this role is remote, you will be travelling for most of your week and will need to cover a wide patch around Cambridgeshire and Oxfordshire, therefore the successful candidate will ideally be based within a commutable distance of the OEA Training Centres.
Just some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
*Identifying new business opportunities through networking, partnerships and direct outreach
*Conducting sales calls and discussing training opportunities with prospective customers
*Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential customers, to convert leads into sales
*Develop an inbound and outbound sales strategy for OEA working alongside the MD to ensure sales processes are implemented across the business
*Work closely with dedicated marketing teams to ensure messaging and communication is accurate and relevant
*Maintaining accurate sales records, preparation and submission of sales reports and maintaining high performance metrics
*Building a strong knowledge of industry trends and market conditions to effectively position our training solutions and offering
*Providing regular feedback and insight to allow an enhanced range of training solutions

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with:
*Significant experience of and a track record of success working in a business-to-business sales environment, in an account management or business development role
*Experience of working within a relevant sector, which could include renewable energy, gas and electricity, construction or similar
*A knowledge across energy trade sectors and / or training provisions
*Full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle.
*Excellent stakeholder management skills, with an ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of customers and clients
*Experience of working in a performance target driven environment
*A minimum of 2 A-Levels or an equivalent Level 3 Diploma.
*GCSE English Language at a minimum of a Grade B (or equivalent Level 2 qualification). OR achievement of a Level 2 in Literacy Assessment at interview stage.
