JOB - Mechanical Design Engineer
LOCATION - Lincolnshire
TERM - Permanent
SALARY - £30,000 to £40,000 per annum (plus benefits)

Premier Engineering is working with a well-established engineering company based in Lincolnshire that is looking to hire a Mechanical Design Engineer. This role is ideal for someone with strong design experience who is proficient in 3D CAD software.

The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
*A degree or qualification in Mechanical Engineering (BEng, MEng, HND, HNC, etc.).
*Experience in mechanical design within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
*Proficiency in 3D CAD software (such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or AutoCAD).
*Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including fabrication, machining, and sheet metal design.
*Ability to produce detailed technical drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
*Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
*Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
*Fire systems design would be beneficial but not essential
*Good communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external suppliers.
The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:
*Creating 3D models and technical drawings for mechanical components and assemblies.
*Developing innovative design solutions for engineering projects.
*Working closely with production and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible.
*Conducting design reviews and making modifications as required.
*Producing detailed documentation, including BOMs and technical specifications.
*Ensuring all designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
*Supporting the continuous improvement of design processes.
