Job Description:
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sonographer to support our client. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of physiology and anatomy, with the ability to perform high-quality ultrasound examinations. As a Sonographer, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and monitoring patients’ health conditions through the use of advanced imaging technology.
Responsibilities
*Conduct ultrasound examinations on patients, ensuring accurate imaging results.
*Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
*Maintain patient records and document examination findings in accordance with medical protocols.
*Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results and contribute to patient care decisions.
*Ensure all equipment is maintained and calibrated according to safety standards.
*Stay updated on advancements in sonography techniques and technologies.
Skills
*Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to accurately interpret ultrasound images.
*General, gynae, small parts, DVT’s and MSK trained
*Familiarity with mammography and CT procedures is advantageous.
*Proficient understanding of medical terminology relevant to sonography practices.
*Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and medical staff.
*Attention to detail and strong organisational skills to manage patient records and documentation efficiently.
Essential
*HCPC registered
*UK trained/qualification
*NHS experience
*Flexible to cover locations across the Midlands region
