JOB - CAD Technician
LOCATION - Nottinghamshire
TERM - Permanent
SALARY - £30,000 to £40,000 per annum (plus benefits)

Premier Engineering is working with a well-established engineering company based in Nottinghamshire that is looking to hire a CAD Technician.

The CAD Technician will ideally have the following attributes:
*A degree or qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related field (BEng, MEng, HND, HNC, etc.).
*Strong experience in Autodesk Inventor for 3D modelling and technical drawings.
*Experience in wood or upholstery 
*Previous experience in a CAD Technician, Design Engineer, or similar role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
*Knowledge of mechanical components, sheet metal, and fabrication processes.
*Ability to interpret and produce detailed technical drawings and BOMs.
*Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
*Good communication skills to liaise with design, manufacturing, and project teams.
*Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
The CAD Technician role will involve:
*Creating 3D models and technical drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
*Producing accurate engineering documentation, including BOMs and assembly drawings.
*Assisting design and engineering teams in developing new and existing products.
*Ensuring designs comply with industry standards and manufacturing capabilities.
*Collaborating with engineers and production teams to resolve design challenges.
*Modifying and updating existing CAD models as required.
*Supporting the continuous improvement of design and documentation processes.
