Role & Client Overview:
Are you passionate about education and looking to start a career in teaching? We are offering an exciting Trainee Tutor opportunity in Coventry, where you will receive full support to gain relevant teaching and assessing qualifications while delivering high-quality, engaging learning to adult learners (aged 19+).
In this role, you will work towards delivering Employability, Functional Skills (Maths and English), Vocational courses, and Essential Digital Skills from Entry Level 1 to Level 2. As part of your training, you will be supported to develop teaching, assessment, and learner engagement skills, helping students progress into employment, apprenticeships, or further education.
If you are eager to make a difference but lack formal teaching experience, this is a fantastic opportunity to train and qualify while working in an established and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
*Receive full training and mentoring to deliver Employability, Functional Skills, and Vocational courses.
*Plan and deliver engaging sessions for adult learners (aged 19+) at Entry Level 1 to Level 2.
*Provide advice and guidance to learners on progression routes and career opportunities.
*Develop an inclusive and interactive learning environment, tailored to different learner needs.
*Work towards achieving teaching and assessing qualifications.
*Monitor learner progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records.
*Use IT and digital tools to enhance learning and administration.
*Gain knowledge of AEB funding requirements and compliance in adult education.
Essential/Desirable Criteria:
Essential:
*Passion for teaching, coaching, or mentoring others.
*Willingness to undertake a teaching qualification (e.g., AET, PTLLS, CTLLS) and Assessor qualifications.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to use IT and digital tools to support teaching and learning.
*Motivated, learner-focused, and committed to supporting individuals to achieve their goals.
Desirable:
*Some experience in training, coaching, or working with learners (formal or informal).
*Knowledge of Employability, Functional Skills, or Vocational training.
*Understanding of local labour market trends and sector-specific skills gaps.
