Production Planner

Salary: £35,000 - £37,000 per annum
A long-established manufacturer is looking for an Production Planner / Scheduler to join their team. The company produces high-precision engineered components used globally.
Overview of the Role
As a Production Planner / Scheduler, you will play a vital role in ensuring manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities * Create and update production schedules.
* Develop and maintain production and material plans, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions.
* Streamline processes to help production meet key deadlines.
* Lead capacity planning processes and run regular production review meetings.
* Collaborate closely with Sales, Production, and Procurement teams to keep operations on track.
* Develop innovative solutions to process challenges, aligned with business objectives.
* Report on key deliverables and status updates.
Experience & Skills * Strong MRP planning skills with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes.
* Experience with bills of materials and routings (advantageous).
* Proven track record in a manufacturing environment, ideally using ERP systems.
* Excellent communication and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
* Proactive approach to workload management.
* Team player with the ability to work independently when needed.
