My client is an established, independent infrastructure business with a blue chip client base. They operate projects nationwide with a strong growth strategy.
They seek an Assistant Management Accountant to join the finance team. The role has responsibility for producing monthly financial reporting for multiple business entities and supporting all finance operations. This is a permanent role and would suit candidates who have core management accounting experience who want to continue to develop their skills and qualifications.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Take day to day responsibility for the weekly and monthly management reporting, ensuring costs are appropriately analysed
*Work with commercial team to ensure full and complete valuation of WIP at month-end
*Undertake monthly review of accounts with FD and wider business
*Play a key part in delivering financial / reporting automation and systems development
*Preparation of board pack financial information
*Lead the budgeting / forecasting process
*Take a lead in the provision of information during the annual audit process
*Provide cover for the Financial Controller when necessary,
*Assist with day to day transactional accounting on ad-hoc basis across the wider Ferns Group.




Successful candidates will have some hands on accounting experience and a good understanding of finance transaction processes. Ideally candidates will have started their accounting qualifications (acca / cima) with a drive to continue their studies and build on their experience. Experience of Sage would be advantageous.
