Systems Engineer
Location: London (Hybrid)

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join a global technology team, responsible for the design, delivery, and optimisation of enterprise infrastructure across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
This role requires deep technical expertise across networking, storage, compute, cloud, messaging, and security, as well as the ability to mentor colleagues and act as a senior escalation point.
Key Responsibilities*Design, implement, and manage enterprise systems including networks, storage, databases, Exchange/Microsoft 365, Entra ID, authentication and mobility solutions.
*Administer and support cloud-based platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and on-prem infrastructure.
*Deliver expert-level support for escalated incidents and mentor junior engineers.
*Implement and maintain container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes) and automation frameworks (Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD).
*Apply advanced security practices including zero-trust, SIEM integration and EDR.
*Prepare and maintain technical documentation, policies, and procedures.
*Support enterprise backup, disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities.
*Contribute to change management, incident management, and occasional out-of-hours support.
Skills & Experience*Proven track record in enterprise-scale infrastructure engineering, ideally 7+ years.
*Expertise in Microsoft Entra ID, Windows Server (2019+), VMware vSphere 8+, Kubernetes and container orchestration.
*Strong knowledge of networking technologies (LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, SASE, MPLS, VLAN, WiFi).
*Experience with modern storage solutions (SAN, NAS, vSAN, Pure Storage, Azure Blob, AWS S3).
*Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python) and automation.
*Advanced understanding of backup, disaster recovery, and system hardening.
*Relevant certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure AZ-305, CCNP) highly desirable.
