Job Title: Class 1 Shunter (Night Shift)
Location: Hinckley
Pay Rate: £18.00 per hour
We are seeking an experienced Class 1 Shunter to join our team inHinckley. This role is vital to ensuring the safe and efficient movement of trailers within our busy yard environment, supporting smooth loading and unloading operations.
Key Responsibilities*Vehicle Movement: Safely operate HGV units to move laden and unladen trailers across the site, including loading bays and storage areas.
*Trailer Handling: Expertly couple and uncouple trailers as required.
*Safety and Inspections: Carry out daily pre- and post-trip checks, ensuring vehicles and trailers remain roadworthy, while adhering to strict health and safety standards.
*Coordination: Communicate effectively with transport, warehouse, and yard teams via radio and other channels to support operational flow.
*Yard Management: Maintain an organised yard, positioning trailers efficiently to meet business demands.
Required Skills and Qualifications*Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) license.
*Valid UK Digital Tachograph Card and Driver CPC.
*Strong focus on safety and attention to detail.
*Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
*Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Shift Pattern*Monday to Friday


Shifts Available:
Monday- Friday- 18:00pm-03:45am
4 shifts on/ 4 shifts off- 17:00pm-05:00am
4 shifts on/ 4 shifts off- 17:00pm-05:00am
