Clark Wood are working with a respected firm of accountants in Bromsgrove who are seeking to add a Service Charge Accountant to their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a supportive practice environment where you’ll be involved in managing a varied client portfolio, specifically focused on service charge accounting within the property sector.
The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing accounts, liaising with clients and property managers, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Depending on your level of experience, you may also support or lead junior team members and have direct client responsibility.


Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of service charge accounts for a portfolio of residential and commercial properties
Liaising directly with property managers, landlords, and tenants to resolve queries
Ensuring compliance with RICS guidelines and relevant legislation
Preparation of year-end financial statements and reports
Working closely with internal teams to deliver accurate and timely client service
Assisting with ad-hoc client queries and projects
Supporting or supervising junior staff (at Senior/Assistant Manager level)


Requirements:
Experience working within a firm of accountants or service charge accounts environment
Strong knowledge of service charge accounting and relevant regulations
ACCA/ACA/AAT qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience (QBE)
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Strong communication and client liaison skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team


Package & Benefits:
Salary up to £36,000 (dependent on experience and qualification level)
Flexible role level (Semi Senior, Senior, or Assistant Manager)
