An overseas banking institution wish to recruit a relationship manager who will be responsible for developing and managing business relationships with Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFI), with specific focus on Insurance Companies. This insurance relationship management role covers Primary Insurance and Reinsurance Companies, Lloyd’s of London and the broader insurance industry
Main Responsibilities
Proactively manage a portfolio of existing insurance and NBFI client relationships and develop cross-selling of products and services.
The existing portfolio includes insurance companies, insurance underwriters, reinsurance companies and insurance brokers
RM will also be responsible for originating and on-boarding new to bank insurance and NBFI clients and the day-to-day risk management, Customer Due Diligence, Regulatory and Legal Compliance management, accountable and responsible as First Line of Defence for Pre-closing, closing and Post Lending Monitoring
Coordinate with internal business departments and product managers to deliver high-quality service and product coverage to FI clients
Collaborate closely with FI Head office and overseas branches to bolster the growth of London Branch’s FI client base
Provide credit and business proposals and reviews; and manage the client relationships through the full product cycle including on-boarding and documentation
Experience Required
Relevant experience in originating, structuring and risk management of a portfolio of Insurance Clients/transactions.
A solid track record in client origination, alongside relevant experience in insurance structuring and business development
Experience in the UK, USA, Bermuda markets, coupled with a strong network across the insurance industry, is an advantage.
Can demonstrate strong analytical and credit skills essential for transaction origination, structuring and execution of financing solutions tailored for insurance clients.
