Niyaa people are recruiting for a Surveyor on a contract basis for a social housing provider in Cheshire. The role involves inspecting properties to ensure they meet safety and quality standards, assessing the need for repairs, and overseeing maintenance work. The client are looking for someone with a good structural knowledge & the ability to manage HHSRS.

Key responsibilities of the Surveyor role:
*Conduct inspections: Perform routine and annual inspections of properties to assess their condition and safety.
*Identify issues: Spot and report problems such as damp, mould, and safety hazards in electrical, gas, or fire compartments.
*Oversee work: Manage and supervise maintenance activities, which may include working with contractors to ensure high-quality, expedient repairs.

Experience required for the Surveyor role:
*Technical structural knowledge
*HHSRS knowledge
*Experience in housing repairs, and knowledge of Schedule of rates

The Surveyor role will be working on a hybrid basis, with the majority of work to be completed on site. the rate of pay for the Surveyor role is £30 per hour, through CIS/Umbrella + mileage.
