About the Role
As a Safety Equipment Technician, you’ll play a key role in ensuring all our surveying and safety equipment is maintained to the highest standard. Working in a fast-moving environment, you’ll be responsible for inspecting, testing, and preparing equipment before it’s hired out to clients.
You’ll be working with a range of specialist tools and instruments used in the survey and construction industries — including underground cable detection equipment, laser levels, GNSS receivers, and safety monitoring devices.

*Carry out routine inspections, maintenance, and testing of safety and surveying equipment
*Identify, diagnose, and repair any faults or malfunctions
*Ensure all equipment meets relevant safety and quality standards before dispatch
*Maintain accurate service records and calibration logs
*Support the depot team with equipment hire preparation and returns
*Liaise with colleagues to ensure smooth turnaround of equipment and timely customer support
*Keep the workshop and storage areas organised, safe, and compliant with company procedures
About You
*Previous experience in a technical, mechanical, or electrical maintenance role is advantageous
*Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
*Good communication skills and ability to work in a team

*Basic IT and record-keeping skills
What’s on Offer
*Competitive salary of £30,000 – £33,000 depending on experience
*Monday to Friday working hours – no weekends
*Great career development and progression opportunities
*Training provided on specialist surveying and detection equipment
*Supportive and friendly team environment
If you’re practical, safety-minded, and looking to build a career with a growing company in the surveying and construction industry, we’d love to hear from you.
