Job Description:
Job Title: Senior Injury Claims Handler
Location: Northampton (Hybrid – 2 days WFH)
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 (DOE)
Benefits: Free parking, hybrid working, social events, volunteering days, and strong internal progression
About the Company:
This respected legal practice has grown rapidly in recent years and now employs over 130 people. Renowned for its supportive culture and commitment to quality over quantity, the firm works closely with major insurers and clients across complex personal injury and motor claims. The environment is friendly, collaborative, and forward-thinking, offering excellent progression and long-term stability.
Role Summary:
You’ll handle a varied portfolio of high-value injury claims (typically £100k+) across motor, EL, and PL. This is a senior-level position where you’ll work alongside an energetic, growing team of 40 within the pre-litigation department, playing a key role in developing best practice and mentoring others. The firm places great emphasis on strategy, quality case progression, and delivering results without unnecessary pressure on billing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage a portfolio of complex personal injury claims, primarily motor-related, ensuring efficient and strategic progression
• Advise clients on liability, quantum, and settlement strategies to achieve strong outcomes
• Work collaboratively with a younger, dynamic team, supporting colleagues and sharing expertise
• Keep up to date with market trends and legislative changes within personal injury and insurance law
• Ensure all matters are handled with professionalism, empathy, and a commercial mindset
Requirements:
• Experience handling higher value injury claims (typically over £100k)
• Strong knowledge across motor, EL, or PL claims
• Confident communicator able to work with minimal supervision
• Team-focused, proactive, and adaptable to a collaborative environment
• Familiarity with case management systems (training provided – no specific system required)
If this role isn’t quite right, it’s still worth speaking to one of our specialist team — we may be working on something that hasn’t hit the market yet.
