Job Description:
Learning Support Assistant
*Hourly Rate: £14 - £15
*Location: Norwich and surrounding areas
*Job Type: Full-time
We are seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join our team, working with pupils in secondary schools across Norwich and the surrounding areas. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting the educational and personal development of young people.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Provide tailored support to pupils, both in classroom settings and one-on-one.
*Assist with the preparation and delivery of learning materials and activities under the guidance of the teacher.
*Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a constructive environment for learning.
*Support pupils with special educational needs (SEN) to access the curriculum.
*Monitor and record pupils’ progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as required.
*Facilitate communication between pupils, teachers, and parents to support effective learning outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Experience in a support role within an educational setting, preferably secondary education.
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents.
*Patience, empathy, and a dedicated approach to student development.
*Ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a dynamic school environment.
*Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
