Job Description:
Engage Education are currently seeking experienced SEND Teaching assistants to work in a specialist school for students aged 9–16 with autism and additional. The school provides a safe, nurturing environment where every student can thrive, offering bespoke education tailored to individual needs.
With small classes, on-site therapeutic support and a collaborative staff team, the school delivers a curriculum that combines academic learning with personal development — helping young people build confidence, independence and life skills.

The Role
*Support students with a range of SEND needs to reach their full potential.
*Work alongside teachers and therapists to deliver tailored learning support.
*Help implement individual learning and behaviour plans.
*Foster confidence, independence, and positive social skills.
*Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
About You
*Experienced in supporting children or young people with SEND.
*Understanding of autism and communication needs.
*Patient, empathetic and adaptable, with excellent teamwork skills.
*Qualified to Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant (or equivalent) – desirable.
*Knowledge of PECS, Makaton or TEACCH – an advantage.
