Job Description:
A fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded Management Accountant to join a growing, fast-moving organisation where finance plays a central role in driving business performance.
This business has quadrupled in size over the last five years and continues to expand rapidly — offering excellent scope for progression and development.
The Role:
Reporting to the Finance Director, you’ll take ownership of the management accounts process and play a key part in improving systems and processes as the business continues to evolve.
Key responsibilities include:
*Full ownership of month-end processes and preparation of management accounts with clear, insightful commentary
*Production of accurate profit statements for stakeholders
*Supporting the transition to a new accounting system
*Continuous improvement of processes and controls
*Accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, and VAT returns
*Trend and variance analysis to identify performance drivers
*Supporting and developing colleagues across the wider finance team
*Supervising a small team as the role develops
About You:
*Qualified or finalist ACCA / CIMA / ACA
*Experienced Management Accountant or ambitious Assistant Management Accountant ready to step up
*Strong understanding of core finance functions including sales and purchase ledgers
*Confident communicator with the ability to build strong working relationships
*Highly organised, analytical, and proactive
*Strong Excel skills and a focus on process improvement
*Keen to take on more responsibility as the business grows
