Account Executive – Commercial Insurance
Location: Cardiff (Hybrid – 3 days office-based)
Salary: £40,000 – £60,000 (DOE and potentially flexible)

Role Summary:
You’ll join a highly experienced team of Account Handlers and Executives, inheriting a manageable portfolio while helping to develop and grow the firm’s commercial client base. The first year will be focused on building relationships, learning the client mix, and getting embedded in the firm’s collaborative culture — not chasing targets.
Ideal for someone ready to take the step up from Account Handler to Account Executive, or an established AE who values autonomy, professionalism, and team support over rigid KPIs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and develop a mixed portfolio of commercial clients across sectors such as manufacturing, construction, and media.
• Work closely with experienced Account Handlers to ensure a high-quality, seamless service.
• Support existing Account Executives in cross-selling and developing additional income streams.
• Gradually build a pipeline of new opportunities through referrals and local relationships.
• Represent the firm with professionalism and care — prioritising long-term partnerships over quick wins.
Requirements:
• Experience within commercial insurance (Account Executive level)
• Broad product knowledge across commercial combined, liability, and property risks
• Strong relationship management skills and collaborative mindset
• Commitment to doing things properly — valuing service, detail, and client trust
• Cert CII qualification (or working towards) preferred
