Class 1 HGV Drivers – Christmas Peak (Fowler Welch, Washington) Recruiter: Velocity
Location: Washington, Tyne & Wear
Contract: Temporary (with ongoing work available)
Velocity is currently recruiting experienced Class 1 HGV drivers to support Fowler Welch through the busy Christmas period.
Shifts & Schedule * Working Thursday to Monday
* We have shifts available AM, PM.
* Minimum 11 hours per shift, guaranteed shifts
*Delivering to RDC’s
Pay Rates DayRates Mon–Fri (first 8 hours)£14.73/hr Mon–Fri (after 8 hours)£18.45/hr Saturday£19.45/hr (all hours) Sunday£22.83/hr (all hours)
Example earnings: Based on a 12-hour shift, Thursday–Monday = approx. £1,146 per week
Job Details * Delivering refrigerated goods to RDCs
* Collecting produce from food production sites
* Must complete a driving assessment and 1-day paid induction (£117.84–£147.30)
Requirements * Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence held for at least 1 years
* Minimum 6 months’ driving experience
* Maximum 6 points for minor offences
* No DD/DR/IN endorsements
Start: Immediate — work available through the festive season, with potential to continue into the new year.
