Bookkeeper / Management Accountant (Xero Advisor)
Location: Brighton
Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 DOE + Excellent Benefits Package
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm (Hybrid working available after 3-month probation – 2 days remote, 3 days office-based)
(Part-time hours may be considered for the right candidate)
Are you an experienced Bookkeeper or Management Accountant with strong Xero knowledge, looking to join a dynamic, forward-thinking accountancy practice?
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Outsourcing Team of a well-established and expanding practice based in Brighton. You’ll be part of a friendly and collaborative team of Xero enthusiasts, working with a diverse portfolio of clients and providing expert advice and support on cloud-based accounting.

Key Responsibilities:
*Focus on management accounts, bookkeeping, and VAT work using Xero as the main software platform.
*Engage directly with clients, managing a portfolio of varied businesses.
*Prepare, review, and submit VAT returns in line with deadlines.
*Advise and support clients with Xero and other cloud-based accounting software.
*Work with SME business owners, Finance Directors, and international companies/groups.
Skills & Experience Required:
*Minimum AAT qualification (Level 3 or above).
*Xero certification or solid working experience with Xero and associated cloud-based apps such as Dext.
*At least 2 years’ experience covering management accounts and bookkeeping, with good VAT and CIS knowledge.
*Strong technical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and client engagement abilities.
*Highly organised, accurate, and able to manage multiple priorities.
*Self-motivated, ambitious, and a strong team player with a positive, "can-do" attitude.
